Nephele the Pious... and Incorrect

Well that didn't take long. Just ten days into her return and Nephele posts her first, overlong, patronising post of the new spell. And it's wrong too. Don't take my word for it though. Here's proof. That's taken on a brand new installation of the game with just Shivering Isles installed, and no mods except the official ones. Better luck next time, Nephele.

  1. Well, now this is getting interesting. In my game, purchasing the spell from the Dark Brotherhood Murderer after all DB quests are completed, the spell shows up as On Touch, both in the purchaser's window and in my spell window.

  2. Errr..."purchase window" or "vendor's window" is what I meant...I think I just mushed the two concepts together.

  3. Just a random thought here, TS: Is there any chance that you created this spell yourself and just decided to call it by the same name? Or, as suggested in that thread, that you opened up the spell in the CS and then accidentally saved it without realizing you'd done so?

  4. No. This was, as I said, a brand new install. My previous install had been getting more and more unreliable because of too many mods so I removed everything and started again from scratch.

It is, of course, a European disk - if that makes a difference.

  5. Oh I see NtP has posted another novel. I'll print it off and go make myself some cocoa so I can read it before bedtime. It shouldn't take me more than a couple of hours.

  6. It's a possibility that that's the cause. Who knows? Nephele has just posted some more info, as you may have seen, and so far I think you're the only one reporting it as On Target.

I'll bring up the possibility of the European version playing into this somehow, which I don't think Nephele addressed/looked at, though of course, you're always welcome to sign in and contribute to the discussion yourself...whoever you are. ;)
