Herschel for Admin?

Wow. I had been about to post another "stop being quiet" post (and yes, I know Aliana came back and was annoying again but she's already gone away again so there's no point). Instead, Southern Belle nominates Herschel for admin!

First, in case anybody hasn't got it, "Herschel" refers to "Herschel Shmoikel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofski", which is Krusty the Clown's full name (from The Simpsons). It's a shit nickname and I hope to come up with something funnier, but there are no famous Danish clowns - something I hope Krusty doesn't rectify.

Two "yay" votes so far. Southern Belle obviously voted yes as nominator, and Corevette789 decided to vote without waiting for Herschel's responses to the questions - not that they are likely to tell us anything we don't already know. Except the recipe one.

I won't be voting, but if I did it would be a "yes". Krusty obviously knows what he is doing and has spent more time checking stuff than anybody with the possible exceptions of TGD and Pious. The one concern is over his standard of English, but that was more a concern for the patroller role than admin, where the emphasis is on trustworthiness and sense than spelling.

He is certain to be confirmed. The only "nay" vote will come from EtOT, and even he might not bother since the result is a foregone conclusion.

Activity is all Relative

Ratwar, 14 September 2009: "I'm trying to chip in a bit more".

Number of posts by Ratwar in the month since then: 55, a total that includes really helpful additions such as this and this (note that he doesn't even bother adding the date to the unsigned tag).

Mind you, since Ratwar can't spell and doesn't know what he's talking about most of the time, that's probably for the best.

Ratwar - more stupid

After someone (thanks!) posted a link to this blog, UESP's resident thug decided to remove it and then semi-protect the whole admin noticeboard for a week due to "Excessive spamming". I wonder if he'll remember to remove the category he incorrectly added to the page when the protection expires?

Dramatis Personae: Ratwar

Ratwar gained his position as an admin by... err... well nobody seems to know. He gained his role as a mod over at the Bethesda forums by... err... well nobody seems to know.

That sums up most of Ratwar's career - nobody thinks he deserves the positions he holds, but anybody who questions him will be punished somehow.

I'm not going to spend any time on his power abuse on the official forums because this is UESPwatch, but Ratwar really loves to abuse power when he gets the chance. The most recent example, which didn't work, is when he blocked Rpeh and only then started a debate about Rpeh's status. Of course, Ratwar isn't very bright and didn't realise that Rpeh (who was still an admin) could simply unblock himself, but that didn't stop him. His next target was Dr Jones, who he blocked for making encrypted comments about other users.

The trouble is, of course, that Ratwar is so dim that he obviously failed to realise his block would stop Dr Jones from fixing the problem - something he had obviously tried to do by turning the comments from plaintext into Rot13.

As a final way of teabagging, RW posts a sarcastic message on Dr Jones' talk page just to rub in the fact that he's blocked now.

Having established the fact that Rawtwat is a thick, vicious, idiot let's look back through his wiki contribs to find something useful.

Hmm... one or two news items...

Nope. He's d0ne a total of f**k all on UESP but still somehow ended up as an admin.
