Elliot Wants a New Name
I think he wants us to call him "Dr No".
Elliot the Obnoxiously Thick's latest few edit summaries are illustrative of his style these days - disagree with everything.
From 15May March onwards, we have: "absolutely not", "still no", "do not try to 'censor' me", "don't censor me", "Stop", "Still no", "What a joke", "Still no", " unnecessary", and "no". Now I've skipped a few, but not very many. His latest comment has a summary of "my thoughts" but it consists only of him saying "No" to the Masked Template Guru's latest suggestion.

ReplyDeleteElliot apparently has a fan club now. Elliot should at least explain to the newcomer why he is disliked so much. I would tell Darkdoom227 the truth, but UESP has the habit of censoring links to this blog.

ReplyDeletePeople dislike you because you're so thoroughly unlikeable. You insult people, threaten them, and demonize them in some cases. You have expressed disdain for the wiki, its rules and its administrators. You have blown your own contributions out of all proportion whilst demeaning those of others.
By joining the wiki, you asked permission to join a club. You then turned around and told everybody how bad the club was, how you could run it much better and that everybody in it were morons. And you still wonder why people don't like you?
Most annoying and worrying of all is that several people have pointed this out to you several times and that you still don't get it.

You are someone who is on the wiki, or you wouldn't even be here trying to 'demonize' myself. It is rather unfortunate, since rpeh can gather sockpuppets, abuse multiple votes, warn me for something he is involved in, and then get praised? I assure you that is no way to go about things. People are willing to turn the other cheek just because they are incompetent and unable to do many things. He has them where he wants them, and I only blame them for being so naive and easy controlled. Hell, I did it for so long.
I have no doubt in my mind who you are: absolutely no doubt. But as I have stated previously, people just turn the other cheek and get their cheeks and mouth ready for the blowjob of the decade.
And you can sit there and delete this comment, but it will only further my thoughts and beliefs.
It is extremely sad, since the people who refused to turn the cheek are gone. They decided they won't take anyone else's bullshit. Was part of it mine? Yes, but I am gone because of everyone else's bull.
When you look at the collective achievements of those who proceeded this joke of a 7 months, you will see that more was lost than gained. Eshe, Nephele, Ratwar, myself, TRL. All gone one way or another because of one individual. You can sit there and beat the dead horse and say he had nothing to do with it, but you would only be fooling yourself, which is a rather sad thing to do.
I know full well people don't like me. I can just sit there and not like them back. Big whoop. My natural disposition is not one that befriends fools and incompetence. But when I have to sit there and explain to three administrators how a template works, or how to fix a table, or how to do simple wiki things, I get sick of the overwhelming incompetence.
So you can hide behind a weak pseudonym, or you can actually tell us who you are. It's up to you, but I for one, am done with this childish game you insist on berating everyone with.
If you are "gone" Elliot then why are there almost 50 contributions since your supposed resignation 2 weeks ago?
ReplyDeleteTheRealLurlock left over a year ago, not within the last 7 months, and that wasn't just down to rpeh. On the thread where he finally threw in the towel, both Nephele and rpeh were telling him to stop being an idiot, and I know others had said similar things in IRC, either to his face or behind his back - Ratwar was one of those.
ReplyDeleteEshe seems to have left, but that's her own choice. She's a fucking admin. If she gets scared off by one ordinary user, it says more about her than about him.
Nephele left well after rpeh did, so the two events are unlikely to be related. Correlation doesn't imply causation. Look it up.
Ratwar has never done anything useful on UESP so his disappearance is a net gain.
You. You think you've been useful but you haven't. You undid a load of comments that should have been left alone, you edit war, you make pointless fucking changes to things best left alone and you whine, whine, whine.
Now if you really, genuinely, don't care any more, go away. Stop wasting everybody's time.

ReplyDeleteWEll I'm utterly confused. A healthy, functioning human brain should be quick to realise when it's arguments are outdated, outnumbered and outmanoeuvred. If you want people to respect you Elliot, maybe you should start respecting people yourself. I don't think these waves of hostility can be doing you any good, although you seem more determined than ever to oppose them. If you didn't exist, then perhaps neither would this blog.
