See you in the Spring

Fun times on UESP last night. In the middle of another boring argument between The Great Deceiver and Whining Little Bitch, who should appear but Elliot the Obnoxiously Thick!

Despite having claimed to be "done" with the site, EtOT popped up to deliver what he evidently thought were a few well chosen words about TGD, in a post so transparently trollworthy that not one, not two, not three, but four different editors removed it. EtOT's edit warring led to WLB warning him, which of course, EtOT removed. WLB reinstated the warning with section protection, so EtOT did some whining of his own and had the gall to warn TGD for edit warring, twice - a warning removed first by TGD himself, then by Corevette789. At this point, Herschel stepped in and blocked EtOT for six - count them! - six months, with an email and talk page ban to go with it.

The message should be clear to you, EtOT (and I know you still read this): you are not wanted on UESP. In one evening, you managed to piss off SerCenKing, TheAlbinoOrc, Arch Mage Matt, Rpeh, RobinHood70, Corevette789 and Krusty. FiveFour patrollers and an admin. That's pretty good going even for you.

See you in March. I'm sure everybody on UESP will have a happy Christmas / Hanukkah / whatever knowing you won't be anywhere near the site.

  1. Looks like it's over. For now.

  2. Technically 4 patrollers, unless you're counting Krusty also. But the way AMM and Albino kiss ass around here they'll be patrollers in no time.

  3. My bad - four. You're right. For some reason I thought Arch Mage Matt was a patroller.

  4. I occasionally drop in here every week or so after I learned about it on the CP in the UESP - I haven't commented yet. While I do not like what most of this site stands for, I think I need to say that I don't kiss ass, suspicious anon who said "Here" instead of "There".

  5. I wished I'd visited UESP last night, but I was more concerned with watching a deletion discussion on Wikipedia unfold. With Elliot gone (for now), I'm guessing this blog is going to be somewhat inactive for the next few months.

Also, this blog will be a year old in about a month. Thanks for dedicated so much time to UESP drama.

  6. Dunno about that. He sent rpeh into a rage of Tor vandalism and caused the admins to block Tor edits. Rpeh's editing has dropped off a lot since then and he's not trolling from random IPs anymore.

Rpeh couldn't handle that arthmoor knew his shit about that necro amulet thing either. The bullshit bug ended up where it belonged in the end despite rpeh's outburst.

  7. The TOR vandal was Arthmoor, not rpeh. Look at the comments about rpeh loving Giskard, for instance. Arthmoor should have been more careful about that.

Rpeh and Nephele were right about the Necromancer's Amulet too. It's a fucking bug, and Arthmoor is a dick for claiming otherwise. And it's still called a bug - just on a different page.

  8. No. We know the vandal was rpeh, we just can't prove it 100% yet. He even went to /b/ and posted a thread that attracted a bunch of other losers into the fray.

Rpeh and Nephele were both wrong about it being a bug too. It isn't. Neither of them knows shit about how the game works and obviously you don't either.

  9. Does anyone have a screenshot of that /b/ thread? It would fit nicely on UESP's ED article.

Also, TOR is easy to use due to the Vidalia GUI. Any idiot (including myself) could use TOR, so I'm not impressed.

  10. I should have said "pretended to go to /b/". If he really had done, it might have inconvenienced people, but one idiot modder with access to TOR was one of the most pathetic things seen on UESP since Elliot was last in full flow. Two people with block rights kept things under control very easily by the look of it.

  11. I think all the editors are stupid on uesp. I mean, they all obviously edit only to get credit and pats on the back. Nephele and Rpeh think they own the place, the patrollers bow down to them, and all the others put their whiny crap on talk pages. I see why you left Tiber. And Arch Mage, shut the hell up, you know would kill to be a patroller.

  12. In reply to the last anon, you're right about Nephele and Rpeh, but there's more to it than that.

Nephele might be a pious, verbose, self congratulatory bitch and Rpeh might be an asshole who needs to learn that other people can have opinions, but the truth is that the two of them are usually right. Where they disagree it's because they're trying to bitchslap each other (see http://uespwatch.blogspot.com/2010/06/busy-morning.html for a good example).

Those two come up with 95% of the good ideas on UESP. Compare their suggestions to the idiotic crap Elliot and RobinHood suggest.

It would be great if they could stop being such assholes, but I have a feeling it's what makes them who they are.

  13. Biting back a response that would bring me to your level - have you ever considered that editors go on because they want to *Help*? The UESP is probably one of the best Wikis information-wise on the internet, thanks to those *idiots* contributing.

Nephele's an admin, and Rpeh has made thousands upon thousands of edits- they pretty much DO own the place.

  14. I assume you mean the anon, not me, with that comment?

  15. No. We know rpeh was the one abusing Tor. Log analysis points to it being him, not arthmoor. That arthmoor guy may know how to mod, but he doesn't know how to cover his tracks that well. RobinHood has been sucking his cock for weeks too. It's sick.
